JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead and support substation projects up to 765kV.
- Perform physical and Protection & Control design.
- Develop drawings, schematics, and substation layouts.
- Develop relay-panel wiring, grounding, and auxiliary power-system designs.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering design packages.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Oversee project deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Prepare project budgets, schedules, and technical specifications.
- Prepare specifications for procurement and construction.
- Support business-development activities.
- Present proposals and engineering designs to clients.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in high-voltage substation design.
- Physical substation design and/or Protection & Control experience.
- Background as a project lead or technical specialist.
- Strong QA/QC experience.
- Client and project-team coordination experience.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with substation projects up to 765kV.
- Experience with renewables integration, HVDC, or battery energy storage systems.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers.
- Business-development and client-presentation experience.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Annual Base Salary: $130,000–$228,000.
