JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead transmission line design and analysis for 345kV–765kV rebuild, greenfield, and HVDC projects.
- Perform and oversee engineering calculations.
- Design transmission steel structures and foundations.
- Use relevant 3D analysis and design software.
- Develop equipment and material recommendations.
- Manage assigned scope, budget, and schedule.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship.
- Maintain engineering standards, design guides, and quality processes.
- Support client relationships and business-development activities.
- Serve as responsible charge on assigned projects.
- Support performance management and succession planning.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of directly related transmission line engineering experience.
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD.
- Knowledge of overhead transmission line design from 69kV to 500kV and above.
- Experience with utility-scale electrical transmission systems.
- Structural design experience involving steel structures, concrete, and foundations.
- Ability to work independently and provide technical supervision.
- Ability to pass the required background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with PLS-POLE.
- Experience with HVDC or 765kV projects.
- Client-facing or business-development experience.
- Knowledge of applicable NESC, ASCE, and IEEE standards.
