JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Design and configure control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and DCS, to optimise manufacturing processes;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop innovative solutions;
- Develop control strategies and algorithms for efficient and reliable equipment and system operations;
- Integrate vendor systems into the overall control architecture;
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure adherence to specifications and performance requirements;
- Participate in commissioning and start-up activities, including troubleshooting, calibration, and optimisation;
- Prepare technical documentation such as specifications, user manuals, and SOPs;
- Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams;
- Manage and maintain digital systems with high availability and security;
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions to maintain quality standards.

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field;
- Proven experience in controls and automation engineering, preferably in manufacturing;
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, DCS, and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus);
- Experience designing and implementing control strategies for complex manufacturing processes;
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems;
- Proficiency in control system programming languages (ladder logic, structured text, function block diagram);
- Strong communication and collaboration skills;
- Availability for constant travel;
- Spanish proficiency is an advantage.
