How to save time and money when recruiting qualified employees

🔷 How to Save Time and Money When Recruiting Qualified Employees

🔹 A Successful Business Starts with the Right Team

🌍 A thriving business is built on a strong team. The equation is simple: the more skilled and motivated employees you have, the greater your company’s success. No matter the position an employee holds within your business ecosystem, their contribution is vital in:

✔️ Creating a productive and inspiring work atmosphere;
✔️ Enhancing business efficiency and capital growth;
✔️ Strengthening your brand reputation among clients, partners, and competitors.

However, the time and resources invested in hiring, onboarding, and training employees can significantly impact your company. Making a poor hiring decision can result in serious financial and operational setbacks.

🔹 What are the Risks of Inefficient Hiring?

⏳ Wasted time on job postings and filtering applications;
💰 Increased costs for advertising, background checks, and interviews;
🚀 Delayed operations due to inefficient recruitment processes;
❌ Lost customers due to poor service caused by unqualified hires;
📉 Damage to company reputation due to frequent turnover.

💡 Did you know? A bad hire can cost a company up to 30% of the employee’s annual salary (U.S. Department of Labor).

🔹 Effective Recruitment Strategies

Expanding your team should be done using well-planned and proven hiring practices. This ensures that every new employee understands your company’s vision and contributes to your business goals.

Key strategies for successful hiring:

📌 Standardized hiring procedures to ensure quality selection;
📌 Clear and detailed job descriptions that attract the right candidates;
📌 Professional and well-structured interviews to assess the candidate’s skills and company fit.

💡 The challenge? Implementing these strategies requires extra time, financial resources, and experience. When these are limited, the best approach is to trust a professional recruitment agency.

Why is recruiting so important?

Why recruitment is a particularly demanding process
attention?

In order to understand the answer to the question, we must first ask at what stage is the development of the company? In the earlier stages, companies want the most capable and qualified employees possible to lay the foundations for stable and sustainable development.
For this and every single interview presents the company to potential employees. When we are looking for a suitable candidate, we do not start from the “perfect employee” model such as knowledge, skills and experience, but to the one who will join and fit best in this stage of business development. Which will lead to efficient work and success for the entire organization.

Something to keep in mind: In order for an employee to be motivated to perform tasks and commitments, a match between the requirements of the candidate, his qualities, capabilities and conditions and the additional training that can develop his abilities and competencies is necessary.

In the selection process, we aim to predict and evaluate the candidate’s future capabilities and realization in the team. What will change after his hiring, will he fit into the team, will he find opportunities for personal development, will he achieve the company’s goals, will he strive for organizational growth or will he go with the flow.
It is for this reason that when we evaluate candidates we use different interview formats to find out if this candidate can fit the profile of the organization he is applying for.

For this purpose, we conduct different types of interviews and apply different techniques, according to the requirements of the position and its complexity.

In order to be able to determine to what extent there is an adequate match between the profile of the client and the candidates, we compare and evaluate the following characteristics:

  • Professionalism – the level of professionalism of the candidate is assessed;
  • Confidentiality – applies to the applicant and the applicant company;
  • Equality – use of templates for the purpose of unification of the required documents;
  • Non-discrimination – regardless of gender, age, religious beliefs and ethnicity;
  • Openness – applies to the applicant and the applicant company;
  • Mediation – mediation between the interests of the employer and the interests of the candidate;
  • Flexibility – reaction to unforeseen situations, change of some processes “at hoc”, etc. – for companies and when selecting and rejecting a candidate, not appearing for an interview, etc. – for the candidates;
  • Short-term – efficiency in short terms;
  • Documentation and authenticity – record and store the applicant’s documents and the protocol with the analysis of his performance during the selection.

AT BEST RECRUITERS LTD offers full and professional HR services, completely free for candidates, with licensed companies, stable in the Bulgarian and European markets. Our long-term business experience has shown how important a personal approach to each person is. That is exactly why we create a complete personal profile of our clients, which allows us to more easily find the most suitable employees for them. We are your connection to companies that care about their customers and staff.

  • Clarity – of utmost importance to us about processes and steps;
  • Quality – we strive to deliver top quality to satisfy even the highest demands;
  • Precision – minimizing errors leads to higher quality work and more benefits;
  • Correctness – compliance with the given word, both to the clients and to the candidates; compliance with contracts and deadlines;
  • Honesty – our main virtue;
  • Personal attitude – this is the way to success in our opinion;
  • Trust – in order to provide the requested service we expect full trust to do the job seriously and correctly;
  • Added value – we are ready to go the extra mile to reach the goals and wishes of clients and candidates through an individual approach to each of them;
  • Focus on results – success for our clients and candidates;
  • Feedback – we are always looking to improve our services;
  • Finding the bottlenecks and finding a solution;
  • Real care – a family-like attitude.

The labor market increasingly directs organizations to search for candidates from pre-selected lists of characteristics at a specific moment and as soon as possible. Why? Because replacing one employee costs companies from 70 to 200% of the value of his salary.

When an employee leaves, it brings with it direct (quantifiable) and indirect (hidden) values that are not obvious, but are potentially much more dangerous to the organization – leading to decreased satisfaction within the team. Some employees have to cover and take over part of the duties until a new employee is found; this also reflects on customer satisfaction, loss of valuable knowledge and expertise, change and the need to adapt new work processes until a new employee is found to fill the vacant position.

Without them, the world remains dark and cold

It was a severe winter in the Rhodopes Mountains. It was snowing heavily. At dusk with a group of mountain-climbers, we arrived at the Golyam Persenk hut. We were tired. We already imagined how were taking a warm shower and gathering by the fireplace.

But the hut was sunk in cold and darkness. The hutkeeper met us worried that he had been without electricity and hot water for two days. The snow does not stop raining, there is no hope of getting better anywhere. There were already about ten guests in the hut. They were wondering what to do. Night was falling outside, the weather was dangerous. Inside – cold and darkness. Neither to leave, nor to stay.

I found out what the problem was and fixed it. It was not difficult for me, yet, this is what I do. But till today, I remember the sincere gratitude of the hutkeeper and the colleagues. They made me feel really amazing.

This is the story of Yancho Ivanov from Burgas. He is an industrial electrician with many years of experience and dozens of successfully completed projects behind his back. He currently works in the Netherlands.

We from At Best Recruiters have assisted Yancho and dozens of his colleagues to find abroad
more recognition, further development and higher payment for their responsible work.

Because we know that it is demanding great responsibility. Often we do not give an account for this. We take their skills for granted. They connect some cables, they handle on boards, laying, fitting together, mounting cables. They are not dressed in suits, they do not wear ties, they do not run huge offices, they do not go on stage, they do not give presentations, they do not trade across the ocean.
Sometimes we are even nervous: “Oh, won’t they finally finish, the conference must already begin!”

And actually without them the conference will not start at all, the offices will remain closed, the computers will stop, there will be not a presentation and the ships with goods will not sail.

In practice, without them everything will stop. Stock exchanges, workshops, factories, productions.
Without them it would be as dark and cold as at the Golyam Persenk hut in that severe winter night.
Here’s what will happen if suddenly and by some miracle the electricians disappear:

“The planet will sink into darkness. The economy will stop, the banks will be blocked. Тhe development of humanity will stop.”
Yancho Ivanov

“There will be a failures in the productions due to damages that will not be repaired.”
Georgi Dimitrov and Aleksandar Aleksandrov

“There will be damages. It is well known. There may be casualties, too. But sooner or later new people will be found to become specialists.”
Dimitar Dimitrov

“The economic development will stop. Everything will be dead.”
Valeri Evtimov

“The world will cease to exist.“
Georgi Yonchev

We from AT BEST RECRUITERS do not want the world to stop, at all. We want it to move forward so that people can live better. It is responsibility of all of us. So we helped Georgi, the other Georgi, Valeri, Dimitar, Yancho and dozens more like them. Only in this way they will be able to help us with their knowledge, skills and handiness. They will be able to develop their skills even more. They will work in a good and experienced team.

And they will be appreciated with dignity about this.

It was exactly these three reasons that led them to make the difficult decision to seek a job abroad. And after finding it, they confirm:

In the Netherlands technologies in electrical engineering are light years ahead.

The career opportunities – great. The teamwork – idolized. The colleagues – competent.

The payment – excellent. The monthly remuneration is EUR 2100 net. Payment is made per week. There are no household disorders. The company accommodates the workers in self-contained rooms at its expense. It can also provide a car if needed.

It is worked 13 weeks for 40 hours each week, after that 2 weeks rest.

But in the first place it remains the love of the profession.

For most of them, it is, first of all, a hobby. It is not accidental that the most precious professional memories are related to the help of a stranded person or a friend. As at the Golyam Persenk hut. This motivates them to do their work with a heart, but at the same time never forget how responsible it is.

For Dimitar Dimitrov it is like walking on a rope. Sometimes – like the fine art of making a culinary masterpiece.

Yancho Ivanov and Georgi Yonchev compare it to the work of the doctor: “Any mistake would lead to unpredictable, sometimes irreversible consequences.”

In order to avoid such consequences, high levels of responsibility is required. Technical literacy. Dexterity. The electrician must be concentrated in his work, extremely careful and highly motivated to bring it to a successful end.

And then comes the satisfaction:

“We successfully completed the installation of a 40-meter yacht and launched it in water within the deadline”, Georgi Dimitrov recalls one of the moments of personal professional pride.

The Netherlands is one of the largest markets for electricity. Many Bulgarians already work in it, some of them with our modest assistance. The local companies have long acknowledged that often the qualities and potential of our specialists exceed those of their colleagues from other nationalities. The demand for workers in the sector does not stop.

And At Best Recruiters can help you find your new correct employer.

If you are a specialist in this field, the market offers plenty of positions  for industrial electricians but for shipbuilders and panel builders as well.

Everything about the job interview online

What does the computer change in the job interview? Is online job interview any different from face-to-face interview?

Nowadays, the digital sphere takes up much of the everyday life of the mass consumer of information. People are digitally informed, they communicate digitally, avoiding the inconvenience of distance, time differences and location.

In this regard, more and more employers offer the opportunity for online interviews of candidates from different cities or countries. The online interview has the same weight as that face-to-face, so it should not be underestimated. Missing part of the online interview is a handshake that brings with it a greater weight and psychological impact.

In this article we will look at key components in the online interview and will give you some guidelines to help you the next time you face an online interview.

For starters, please specify the time and consider any differences arising from the time zones. Before starting the interview, it’s good to know if a webcam will be required. Take a look at the alias or username in the platform you will be using.

Next, the device from which you will conduct the interview – a smart phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. In the first listed, it is best to secure a stand and in the vicinity you have an electrical outlet and a charger.

Pay attention to the speed of your internet connection. This is of utmost importance for the interview, especially if it is with a video camera. Besides the download speed, important for how you will see the person who is leading the interview (whether the image will be clear or pixelated) is important and the speed at which you are uploading data – how they will see you.

Once we have specified a few important elements, we will proceed to the technical part. Check the microphone strength and whether adjustments are needed. Try to call a friend to give you feedback how you are heard, whether a microphone correction is needed. If the interview includes a camera, we advise you to test quality of the video again. Here it is important to consider where you want to make the interview, in other words which room you will allow in the interviewer.

Tips: To isolate side noise, we recommend a headset with a microphone. With their help you will be able to leave the noises around you aside so as not to distract you during the interview. Noises such as dog barking, crying child, and others would not be appropriate and would only interfere.

Leave your phone, emails, chats, and other side activities aside. After the interview, you can continue with them. Just like when you’re in an interview and turn off the sound on your phone when invited, as well as in the online interview, it’s a good idea to do it.

Pay attention to your clothing and overall vision. During the interview, the interviewer may ask you to stand up so they can see you full-length. Be prepared. Do not worry and stay calm, although it’s an online interview and the interviewee does not sit up against you, if you’re worried it will be felt in your voice.

In conclusion: Stay calm and be prepared. Ensure a good internet connection, pay attention to the technical part and be sure to isolate side noises. Get dressed well, talk calm, clearly and high.

First meeting with the candidate or what is a CV?

The first impressions are created with the CV, the personal meeting only confirms or rejects them

You have felt that time has come for change and you leave your current job. No matter whether you want to develop, or you have not got along with your last employer, switching to new workplace is an integral part of your growing up as a person and a professional.

The time has come to re-fill your CV with up-to-date information. In this article we will give you some guidelines on how to improve your CV so you can make a good first impression. At the beginning of each CV is a well-known part with basic information: your three names, domicile, citizenship, date and year of birth, and your contacts: phone number and email.

You can add other ways employers can contact you, such as Skype name or other platform. Be outside the box, especially if you are applying for a more creative position. Present yourself with one or two sentences before the basic information about you.

Once you have provided the basic information about yourself, you should fill your education and qualifications. Fill in these fields correctly. Specify what disciplines you were studying at the university. Fill in what additional courses you have taken in addition to the qualifications already acquired or other additional courses.

Your experience is crucial in choosing whether you will be invited to an interview or not. Carefully describe your past experience with previous jobs. What was your assignment to this job position, what your responsibilities were, what results you achieved. Everything about your work experience is a must.

Tips & Warnings: When formatting your CV, choose readable fonts and avoid non-standard fonts. Synthesize the most important information. You can afford to specify in the cover letter in more detail.

Upon leaving your workplace, ask your former employer for a recommendation. Let someone talk about your work in an objective way, thus:

  1. You show that you have maintained a good relationship with your previous employer.
  2. The assessment of your competencies and experience is objective and the chance of exaggerating some of your qualities decreases.

The objective assessment by a third party would help the recruitment agent evaluate you. Leave the contacts of your previous employer on the recommendation. So the interviewer himself can ask additional questions about your performance and successful projects.

In section interests, hobbies and others, describe the things you like to do and how they help you unload and be more focused and productive.

Your skills and competencies are those that impress the employer. Identify them correctly by rating them on a scale that matches national or international standardization.

If the position requires a cover letter – write and submit. You can read more about the motivation letter in our article: “The cover letter and why it is so important in the job application

At an interview distance from desired job

What is important before and after an interview?

You have just called for the vacant position you have applied for and have arranged a convenient day and time. You receive an email with the information you have commented on in the conversation,  date,  time, and the exact location of the office and what convenient transport you can use. Are you ready for a job interview?

After the brief rush of adrenaline comes a slight worry, “How will it go? and “Will they hire me? “questions begin to crawl in consciousness.

Above all, stay calm. Recheck the vacant position you applied for. Review the requirements of your potential employer and your obligations as a possible employee.

Be curious – explore the company you are applying for. How long has it been in the market, what is her vision? Take a look at its behavior in social networks, whether there are public appearances, say it is socially responsible, environmental and other values that will tell you the seriousness of management and the desire for transparency and clarity.

Do you know that much of what you say does not come it with your mouth, but with non-verbal signals such as the posture you are sitting in, the gestures and mimics you make, the clothes you are wearing, even their colors.

Crossed arms and legs, pointing feet to the closest exit and false smile are top 3 indicators that tell the interviewer that you do not feel comfortable, you are worried, you even want to go home.

Be positive and do not feel like a student facing the board to solve math problems in front of the class. Choose colors of your clothes in blue, green, gray and purple in their slightly darker shades. Black and white colors have not been mandatory in a long time. Many employers conclude your work on the attitude towards yourself and the type in which you appear in the interview. In addition – dress like that – according to the position you are applying for. This does not mean that you can afford your daytime t-shirt with sports trousers for a medium or lower position.

Still, they’ve already invited you, are not you? Now is the time to justify this trust.

Walk out 10 minutes early to know that there is nothing to go wrong with.

During the interview, you can afford at first innocent jokes of time or traffic to break the ice, but we do not recommend that you be the initiator of the joke. Few interviewers would appreciate such behavior as serious.

Hear all the questions and do not try to tell what they mean by that and then immediately try to answer.

If you have certificates, recommendations, and other honors, now is the time to offer them. If you have a portfolio, it is also good to present it. Invite the interviewer to ask questions about your work and you can visually show him your professionalism and creativity in the portfolio.

Be honest! Indicate that you have competencies that you actually have. And if they are looking for skills you do not have, you can say that you do not have these abilities, but if the work requires them, you are ready and want to acquire new knowledge and skills.

When the interviewer tells you to tell him about himself, he does not want information about your personal life. He is interested in your professional development. You can tell what you have accomplished and what has attracted you to the field in which you want to develop. Here is the time to freely share your previous experience. In one or two sentences, you can tell what your job is, what your responsibilities and what results you have achieved at your previous job.

Leave any questions you have in the end of the interview. Be professional! Asking questions is a signal of a real presence in the conversation and a good attitude towards the person against you and the interest in the process and working conditions.

After the interview, it’s enough to send an email to thank for the invitation and to express your expectation of feedback.

In conclusion: Leave the stress aside, it will never be a good friend to you. Walk out of  your home 10 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. Write your homework – explore the company. Be prepared for tasks at the end of the interview, intelligence tests, and more. Human resources specialists and managers use such methods to understand how people think and deal with tensions and surprises. Dress according to the position you are applying for. Look good to feel good. Be honest and polite. First listen, then answer. Be confident in your ability and the desired job will not be late.
