Job Description
The Plant Director will oversee all aspects of a complex medical device manufacturing facility, ensuring safety, compliance, efficiency, and profitability. This role involves leading daily plant operations, meeting ISO, FDA, EPA, and OSHA standards, and driving continuous improvement through Lean methodologies such as 5S, SMED, and TPM. The Plant Director will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans, managing financial performance, and ensuring on-time, on-quality, and on-cost delivery of products, including New Product Introduction (NPI). This leadership position requires fostering strong team performance, mentoring future leaders, and building relationships with stakeholders including customers, suppliers, regulators, and corporate teams.
Employment Requirements (Ideal Candidate)

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field (MBA preferred);

8+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations;

Demonstrated success implementing Lean Operating Systems with measurable performance improvements;

Strong people development and team-building skills;

Experience in medical device or aerospace/defense manufacturing preferred;

Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time;

Desire to convert to full-time employment after interim engagement.
